SEC private fund and investment advisor cyber proposal

SBIA encourages private funds and BDCs to examine this proposal and provide feedback. 

WASHINGTON, D.C. (February 9, 2022) – The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has proposed rules that would require investment advisers and funds registered with the SEC to adopt written policies and procedures to address cyber risk and to disclose certain cyber events to the SEC. SBIA encourages private funds and BDCs to examine this proposal and provide SBIA with your feedback. Comments are due either April 11, or 30 days after the proposal is published in the Federal Register, whichever date is later.
